Well I could have but these sure made the job so much eaiser. I just installed over 600 feet of 5 1/2" crown molding in our home and these were very useful to have. Well worth the money.
These are a great addition to a great saw. Much better quality then the dewalt stops. I have had these for a couple of year's. and would not hesitate to purchase. We do tray ceilings for a living and crown molding gets installed in all of them. My boss loves the Bosch 5412l and these stops.
It is difficult to keep Crown molding at the right angle while cutting it. I've tried the "aftermarket guides" available which look good enough to sell, but provide as many problems as they solve; namely trying to keep the guide from moving instead of just the molding. It is very nice to have an intergraded system which solves the problems they are intended to solve, without causing different problems. This does just that.
Very nice attachments. I have used these about six times now and would not attempt crown without them. I could have used the fence anchors that came with miter saw but these are so much better. For the money, go for it, you will be happy.eric
